Plakar logos are being used to brand and identify official Plakar projects and content.
Third parties can only use them to provide credit for Plakar products or to link to plakar.io.
These variations of the logo can be used when the background is simple or plain color.
Usage Guidelines
Plakar is a registered trademark (®) of Plakar in EU and USA. The Plakar logo itself is property of the Plakar company. The logo and the brand name “Plakar” are not part of the ISC License, and can only be used commercially by Plakar on products, websites, and publications.
Third parties may use the Plakar logo, provided all of the following conditions are met:
General Usage
The Plakar name and logo can only be used to point to the product Plakar or to give credit. When used with a link on a web page, it should point to the URL plakar.io.
Prominence
You must visualize and promote your own branding more prominently than you use the Plakar logo or name. It must be clear for an average viewer that this is not an official Plakar product or Plakar website, publication or product. Do not use the Plakar name or logo as your own logo or name.
Products
You can use the Plakar name or logo on promotional products, such as T-shirts for events or trade show booths, provided it is a secondary brand as described in point 2.
Modification
The logo must be used unaltered, without enhancements, in original colors, original typography, and always complete (logo + text Plakar).
Commercial Use
Only in exceptional cases will permission be granted to use the logo on commercial products. You must contact us with a picture of how it will be used and ask for explicit permission.
Endorsement and Affiliation
The Plakar name and logo may not be used in a way that implies any official endorsement, partnership, affiliation, or certification of third-party products or services, including but not limited to cloud-based distributions, orchestration platforms, or managed services, unless explicit written permission has been granted by Plakar. This applies in particular to any usage within commercial marketplaces, product interfaces, marketing materials, or service listings.

Community websites
Plakar’s logo has not yet been widely adopted or reused by third parties. Nevertheless, we wish to clarify our position early to avoid confusion in the future. These guidelines are not intended to prohibit or discourage legitimate community uses that show support for Plakar.
The purpose of this policy is mainly to prevent misuse of the Plakar name and logo in a way that could be unfair, misleading, or intended to take advantage of Plakar’s reputation and community for commercial gain without authorization.
In particular, we want to ensure that the Plakar brand is not used to promote commercial services or products that may suggest an official partnership or endorsement, or that could create confusion among users about whether an offering is operated by Plakar or by independent third parties.
