v1.1.11

stable

Adds namespace remapping on restore, PVC ignore patterns, and cluster-level inventory entries.

New

  • PVCs can be excluded from backup using ignore patterns.
  • Restore supports namespace remapping: when targeting a specific namespace, global resources are skipped and existing resources are rewritten to land in the target namespace.
  • Inventory emits entries for the cluster and individual namespaces, enabling namespace-scoped backups from the Plakar Control Plane.
  • Generated resources are no longer excluded from backups (they remain excluded from the inventory for now).

Fixes

  • kubeconfig_file, kubeconfig, and labels parameters are now looked up correctly, allowing the integration to run on Plakar edges deployed inside the target cluster.
  • Restore correctly drops the resource version, removes the cluster IP from Services, skips PersistentVolumes, removes the PV link when restoring PVCs, and excludes Endpoints.

v1.1.10

stable

Adds KubeVirt VM support, Block PVC, namespace filtering, and mTLS between Plakar and the pod.

New

  • Support for KubeVirt VMs: back up and restore virtual machines.
  • Support for Block PVCs.
  • An explicit security group for PVC and CSI operations.
  • Restorable resources are filtered to prevent restoring incompatible objects.
  • Inventory can now be filtered by namespace.
  • KubeVirt VMs are included in the inventory.
  • Example RBAC rules are provided.

Security

  • mTLS secures the communication between Plakar and the created pod.

v1.1.9

stable

Secures pod communication with mTLS, adds a readiness probe, and hardens resource cleanup and error handling.

Security

  • Pod communication is secured with mutual TLS (mTLS).
  • automountServiceAccountToken is set to false on created pods.

New

  • A readiness probe is added to the created pod.
  • RBAC permissions are documented with an example rbac.yaml.
  • PVCs with volumeMode: Block are explicitly rejected (not yet supported).

Fixes

  • Resources created during backup are now correctly deleted when the context is cancelled.
  • No service is created alongside the pod.
  • Ping() uses a SelfSubjectAccessReview instead of fetching the namespace, reducing required permissions.
  • Error handling is improved during resource listing and pod startup.
  • An upper bound is set for the pod to come online, preventing indefinite waits.
  • PVC creation from a VolumeSnapshot is more reliable.

v1.1.8

stable

Makes kubeconfig optional in the schema.

Fixes

  • kubeconfig is now correctly marked as optional in the connector schema.

v1.1.7

stable

Fixes inventory endpoint paths, Root(), and PVC existence checks.

Fixes

  • Inventory endpoints now have a leading / in their path.
  • Root() is fixed for the k8s+pvc importer and exporter.
  • Ping() verifies that the PVC exists for k8s+csi and k8s+pvc.

v1.1.6

stable

Exposes the inventory schema for the Plakar Control Plane.

New

  • The inventory schema is now exposed for use by the Plakar Control Plane.

v1.1.5

stable

Bundles the inventory and adds Endpoints to it.

New

  • Inventory is now bundled with the integration.
  • Endpoints are included in the inventory.

v1.1.3

stable

Fixes the PVC exporter validator and adds manifest classes.

New

  • Manifest entries now include classes and subclasses.

Fixes

  • Fixed the validator for the k8s+pvc exporter.
